Edgar Albert Guest (1881-1959)

Edgar A. Guest was born in England, but lived most of his life in Detroit, Michigan (his family moved there when he was 10 years old). His poetry tends to be easy enough for young children to understand yet meaningful enough for adults to enjoy. He is one of my favourite American poets.
