Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer. His best-known books include Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Stevenson ranks among the 30 most translated authors in the world, just below Charles Dickens.
In 1885, he wrote "A Child's Garden of Verses" -- a collection of poetry for children which contains about 65 poems including the cherished classics "The Lamplighter," "The Land of Counterpane," and "Bed in Summer."
I've categorized some of his poetry by theme to help you find something you might be interested in reading. Each section includes a printable
