DLTK's Crafts for Kids
Random Thought: And the Winner Is! (*drum roll*)

People occasionally ask me what my all time favourite craft on the website is. That’s a really tough question because I have a lot of much loved projects that I’ve done with the girls over the years.
But! If I had to pick one, it would be the Christmas Ornaments made with acrylic paint. I was shocked by how wonderfully such a simple project turned out. It’s more expensive to make than the majority of the crafts on the site, but it makes a really good keepsake/gift from the kids to adults. It’s also a good one to make if you’re doing a “handmade Christmas gift exchange”.

I love the fact that it’s a handmade project that looks good enough for even the fanciest Christmas tree—we especially like making them with the slightly metallic acrylic paints. The first time we made them, the girls were 7 and 3—they were both able to do their own. When they were in their teens it was still a project they could pull out and do with friends near Christmas.
Visit DLTK’s Crafts for Kids for instructions for these painted ornaments and other Christmas crafts and activities.

About Leanne:
Wife, mom and the woman behind the scenes of the DLTK's Crafts for Kids websites. The websites are a terrific hobby -- run by (me) Leanne, a mom with two girls as my official craft testers and my husband as my technical support. DLTK are the first initials of each of the people in my family (I'm the L!). Whenever we send out little cards or whatnot, we sign 'love DLTK' ... when I started the website I used the initials. Had I known the website would get actual strangers visiting it, I would have picked a less mysterious name but we're all stuck with it now!
