Tasha's Review:

This action packed, emotion filled movie had me squirming in my seat, covering my eyes and laughing at the more grown up humor (although I could have done without dad sitting next to me, heh).  I really enjoyed this movie because I find that most movies are very kid friendly but not as exciting (they are a little bit more snooze worthy) or are very grown up which means my sister can't go to them (and sometimes my parents won't let me see them).  Not only was this movie more for my age but it was also very cool.

My favourite part of the movie was how the transformers transformed (it was very intense).  I also enjoyed Bumble Bee, Sam's car (Sam was played by Shia Labouf!).  It was a rusty old car to begin with then 'bam' it was super cool -- a sporty new Chevrolet Camaro drove by and Bumble Bee learned how to transform into it.

The graphics in this movie were so amazing.  It is very cool to see what the people making the movie are able to do -- it makes you think everything is real even though you know it can't be.

I would probably recommend this movie to people between the ages of 12 and 30 and rate it a 5 out of 5 because the boy/girl relationship was cute and also I think that Shia Labouf is a great actor (he is also pretty good looking *wink*.)

Questions Tasha Answered Before Watching the Movie:

Is this a movie you are excited to see?

Yes, because I really like Shia Labouf and I think it will be such a good movie.

Would you prefer to see it:

  • in the theatre with your family,
  • in the theatre with your friends
  • on DvD?

Questions Tasha Answered After Watching the Movie:

Was the movie as good as you thought it would be?

It was even better!  This was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Would you talk with your friends about it?

Yes and I have.

Did you learn anything from it?

Ummm...I learned the transformers names.

Notes from dad:

I never watched the transformers cartoons as a kid so really did not have any expectations for this movie.

Leaving the theatre I was quite impressed with the show especially the special effects.  There were a couple of awkward moments (see MPAA rating - brief sexual humor) that I felt could have been handled differently or omitted all together.

All in all...entertainment dollars well spent!!
