Cecil Frances Alexander

Cecil Frances Alexander was a hymn-writer and poet.  She was born in Dublin and lived her life in Ireland.  Her husband, William Alexander was appointed Church of Ireland bishop of Londonderry, Ireland in 1867.  He later became Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland.

Many of her works are religious in nature -- "All Things Bright and Beautiful" being the most famous.
