Description:  When it hatches, the first person it sees is considered its trainer because it thinks that is it's mother.  When Togepi goes to sleep it closes it's crown and goes back into an egg shape.

 

GAMES:

Pokemon Gold / Silver: 

  • Togepi is aquired in Gold/Silver after beating the first Gym Leader in the game. 
  • Go to the nearest Pokemon Center and talk to one of Utsugi's aides.
  • Answer "Yes" to his question and he'll give you an egg that eventually hatches into Togepi.
