A Note from One of Your Toddlers

Dear Teacher,

Thank you for being so patient with me. You must really understand us toddlers.  I guess you know that we don’t stay still for very long and really can’t sit through a whole book. Nothing personal. You must know too, that I can’t share.  I just don’t get it. I’m glad you don’t get mad when I say “no”.  It’s one of the few words that I know, and it’s very cool to be able to say something and get a reaction from big people.  I know I get kinda crabby around 11 am.  Thanks for saving my lunch the days I fell asleep in it.  (And I do try to hit my mouth, I swear!) It’s good that I can’t get hurt on anything in our room, and that you are always watching, and close by in case I need you.  And I’m glad you understand that it is way more fun to dump things out then to put them back. Sorry about the biting-thing.  I know I’ll do better when I learn more words to use!  Thanks Teacher, for not being mad at me – I know you sure look tired at the end of the day. Oh, and Teacher, I wanted to tell you - you are a very big part of my life, and I love you!
