Use as vocabulary words for spelling practice.

Have the children work in groups to research and discuss the meaning of the words on the word list.

At home, we tend to study some sort of theme each week. I get a little carried away sometimes -- recipes, stories, crafts and coloring all follow whatever the theme may be. I have a lot of fun with it, Darren humours me and the girls don't know anything different, hehe. Whatever we're studying, I hang a word list on the fridge and then use those words throughout the week on tracer pages, word search puzzles, crosswords and crafts.
