Greece, a country in southeastern Europe, has some of the richest documented ancient history in the world (think, the ancient Greek gods)! It is an interesting country for children to study for this reason.

Greece, as the name suggests, is a country with Greek as its official language. While it is a primarily Greek-speaking country—with most of the population speaking Greek as their first language—regional languages like Macedonian (called Slav-Macedonian in Greece), Albanian, spoken in the center and the south, and Turkish, spoken by Muslim communities around the Aegean, as well as Arumanian (or Aromanian) and Bulgarian, spoken all over the country.
Greece is a country found in the Northern Hemisphere and the Eastern Hemisphere of the globe. As of 2021, the country is split into 14 political divisions (called administrative regions, nine of which belong to mainland Greece and four insular and one is an autonomous region.
Greece is bordered by Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Turkey to the north and is bounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the Aegean Sea to the east, and the Ionian Sea to the west.
