Dinosaur Wreath

This is a fun dinosaur wreath to do by yourself or with a group. You can choose from three templates of classic dinosaurs—brontosaurus, triceratops, and tyrannosaurus rex. You can get creative and use whatever colours you want too!
Materials:
- Ring of cardboard (empty cereal boxes work wonderfully),
- construction paper (multiple colours, like dark and light green),
- printer and paper,
- scissors,
- glue
Instructions:
Trace a small plate and a large plate onto a piece of old cardboard.
- TIP: Empty cereal boxes or frozen dinner boxes work well.
- It doesn't matter if you go over the folds of the cardboard
Reinforce the ring: Cut a small strip of cardboard and glue it onto the back of the ring over any folds in the cardboard.
Cut strips of construction paper (about 1 1/2 inches by 4 inches) using blue, green, purple and yellow
- Glue the strips into rolls (like making a paper chain)
Glue the rolls of construction paper onto the wreath. We made a green coloured wreath as if the dinosaur was in the forest.
- Print out the template of choice. If it is B&W then you will need to colour it.
- Cut out the template pieces and assemble the dinosaur.
Glue the feet to dinosaur tummy to create the bottom half of the dinosaur.
- Glue the hands just below the dinosaur face to create the top half of the dinosaur.
- Glue the leafy plant into the hands of the dinosaur.
- Glue the the bottom half of the dinosaur (tummy and feet) behind the wreath.
- Glue the top half of the dinosaur (head and hands) in front of the wreath, on top of some of the construction paper loops.
Templates:
- Close the template window after printing to return to this screen.
- Set page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).
