TP Roll Dinosaur Craft

This craft is absolutely adroable because it is a cute brontasaurus dinosaur with a neck that actually moves and stretches... I love tp rolls like this because they are super interactive. I think this is the best one because, well... it's a dinosaur!!!
Materials:
- cardboard tp roll,
- printer,
- printer,
- glue,
- scissors,
- tape,
- optional: green construction paper (we have also included a paper strip template for the folded section, but I used coloured paper so that the colour shows even when the paper is folded),
- and something to color with
Instructions:
- Print out the templates of choice (color the pieces if you are using the B&W templates) and cut out the pieces.
- Glue the large green rectangle around the tp roll. Now cut the tp roll about 1 inch from one of the sides; the smaller section will be the head of the dinosaur and the larger half will be the body.
- Assemble the head of the tp roll dinosaur:
- Glue the snout/nose of the dinosaur over one of the openings of the tp roll (this will be the front of the head).
- Fold the eyes in half and glue each half together. Then fold the tab of the eyes under and glue the tabs to the tp roll so that the eyes appear to pop out of the dino's head.
- Assemble the body of the tp roll dinosaur:
- Fold the tail in half and glue each tab on the inside of the tp roll so that the tail comes out of the tp roll in a 3D fashion.
- Glue each of the legs to the tp roll.
- Assemble the middle section of the dinosaur:
- Cut out a few strips of green coloured paper (you can use two different shades if you would like). Cut the strip about 3-4cm in width.
- Tape the strips together at the ends to create on really long strip. (The more strips you use the longer the middle section of the dinosaur will be—I used 4 strips for each colour).
- Glue the strips together at a 90° angle. Leave about an inch length of each colour off the end to glue onto the tp roll later.
- Fold the bottom strip over the top strip (keeping the 90° angle). Repeat with the other colour. Continue this folding pattern until you almost run out of paper.
- Gue the last fold together but make sure to leave about an inch of paper strip loose on each side again (to attach to the tp rolls).
- Using some glue and tape attach the middle section to the head and the tail of the dragon. (This part is a bit tricky so may require some help from an adult).
- OPTIONAL: Attach a popsicle stick to each of the tp roll halves (you can gue them to the closest folds) so that you can use the craft as a dancing puppet.
