Egg Carton Turtle Craft
I cut Darren's hair for the first time ever yesterday. To distract him from the horror of having me cut his hair (*wink*), I started a friendly debate about getting a pet.
I was hoping he might agree to a dog (he's TOTALLY a dog person... but they're a lot of work and he still isn't over the loss of Ruby, our yorki-poo/family pet of many years).
We can't really have cats because I'm allergic to them and my allergies seem to get worse the older I get.
He decided a turtle would be the answer... I don't really want a turtle. Stalemate!!!
Egg carton turtles are adorable though!
Materials:
- egg carton cups
- small styromfoam ball(s)
- 2 or more googly eyes
- light and dark green paints
- 4 or more mini pom-poms
- glue
Instructions:
Take your egg carton cup and paint it green with a different shade of green spots. 
Next, paint the small Styrofoam ball one shade of green and glue googly eyes to it.
Lastly, glue the head to the egg carton cup, add pom-poms for feet, and you are done!
