Celebrate autumn and decorate the walls with a sunny sunflower craft.

You can use scrunched up tissue paper and sunflower seeds to fill in the template and make a bright cheerful autumn sunflower!  You can tear or cut the tissue paper into small squares.  Children learning scissor skills will find the tissue paper an interesting new texture to cut.

Mix the green and yellow together so the child gets to pick the pieces out and place them in the right places (green for the stem and leaves, yellow for the petals).  Crafts like this help children develop color recognition, fine tune their hand-eye coordination and advance their fine motor skills.
