Getting to use scissors for the first time makes so many young children very giddy and pleased with themselves.  I like scissor skills crafts that build self confidence!  This project lets the kids chop up construction paper without it having to be any particular shape - Kaitlyn loved doing this when she was younger and was always proud to show off her piles and piles of construction paper bits when she was done carefully cutting them up *smile*.
