Well...  It wouldn't be DLTK's if I didn't mention a paper plate craft -- Kaitlyn's all time favorite craft supply!  She's 15 now and STILL loves them -- though she hides her passion by doing them with kids she's babysitting, hehe.

You can use the apple core paper plate craft for "numbers practice" -- make 10 apples, each with a different number of seeds (1 through 10).

You can hang these up in order OR (my preference is) leave them out for the kids to use: 

• Organize them from 1 to 10 as you practice COUNTING.
• Randomly select two apples and decide which has MORE seeds and which has LESS
• Randomly select two apples and ADD the number of seeds together.
