Mardi Gras Crafts and Activities
Every time I do a section on a holiday our family doesn't celebrate, it takes a fair amount of research (er, trips to the library with my 3 year old) to get the flavour of the occasion.
I'd always known that Mardi Gras existed but had a vague notion of it as a distinctly adult celebration involving late night parties and parades. I didn't realize that it was so much more than that!
We had a lot of fun with our "mock", month early Mardi Gras celebrations as we prepared this section for you. Kaitlyn (age 3) had the most fun with the masks and Tasha (age 6) with the King Cake game.
